Challenge:

Digilock is the leading provider in high quality electronic lock solutions for a variety of customers and industries. My challenge is to mold the user experience for a new Access Control product, while maintaining the functionality needs of the lock system.

Solution:

Digilock’s Access Control system allows users to manage their location security digitally, making it easier to identify system issues.

User Flows:

Working closely with sales, product, and engineering I simplified user stories and created user flows based on the necessary hardware and industry requirements.

• As a user, I want to set up my lock.
• As a user, I want to add my team members and assign them lock access.
• As a user, I want to unlock or lock a door from my phone, a keycard, or digital pin.
• As a user, I want to know who accessed what lock and when.

Learnings:

What I value most from this process is the colloboration. It’s challenging to design software that correlates with a physical product, but working with engineering to understand functionality has helped create an intutive control system.
